Here you will find answers to frequently asked questions about Osewa.

Can I make a reservation by phone?

No. Reservations cannot be made by phone.
All activities require advance online reservation and prepayment, so please apply through our website.

Are there payment methods other than credit card?

We require advance payment by credit card.
If you are unable to use a credit card, please make your reservation through a travel agency.

Can I cancel my reservation?

Yes, you may cancel your reserved activity. If you wish to cancel, please notify our office by email.
Cancellation fees may apply. For details, please refer to our Cancellation Policy on the website.

Please note that same-day no-shows cannot be accepted under any circumstances, regardless of the reason.

Can I participate alone?

Yes, individual participation is possible. However, if the minimum number of participants is not met, the participation fee may be higher.
In addition, if you book at the regular single-participant rate and the minimum number of participants is not reached, the activity may be cancelled.

Can children participate on their own?

Each activity has a designated age range. Some activities, such as Japanese sweets making, can be enjoyed by children without a guardian.
For younger children (lower elementary school age and below), we recommend that a guardian provide assistance.

The recommended age for most activities is approximately 12 years old and above.
Some experiences, such as matcha tea experiences, are also suitable for younger children. Please feel free to contact us for details.

Is interpretation provided?

Language skills vary depending on the Osewa staff member. Guidance is available in English or Japanese.
Even if you do not speak English, basic instructions can be provided through gestures. Professional interpretation services can be arranged for an additional fee.

What languages are supported?

Supported languages are Japanese and English.
Please note that some experience plans are offered in Japanese only or English only.

Where is the meeting point for each activity?

Please refer to the “Meeting Time & Experience Schedule” section on each activity’s tour page.

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions for cooking classes?

Yes. We can accommodate vegetarian, gluten-free, and allergy-related requests.
Please submit your request at the time of booking.

Is insurance included?

Insurance coverage depends on the tour. Please check the details of each tour or contact us for confirmation.
For town walking guide tours, insurance is included in the participation fee.
