Soba-Making Experience

Fun and Delicious—even for First-Timers! Let’s Make Izumo Soba, a Traditional Dish of the Izumo Region

Izumo-style soba noodles (soba-kiri) are said to have been introduced from Shinshu by the Matsudaira lords around the beginning of the Edo period. Enjoy the rich aroma of soba from the very first ‘kibachi’ stage, where water is mixed into the flour.
