Mizuhiki craftsmanship is a beautiful part of Japanese culture by which the decoration is made with its recipient in mind.
Mizuhiki craftsmanship is a beautiful part of Japanese culture by which the decoration is made with its recipient in mind. We will make a cute raindrop-shaped accessory using some lucky decorative string called mizuhiki. Here in Matsue, raindrops are otherwise called ‘drops-of -destiny’, and so are considered lucky too. Please enjoy choosing your favorite color of mizuhiki and make your own original accessory, won’t you?!

[make your mizuhiki, design your destiny]. Izumo Hitoe, a type of traditional Japanese mizuhiki, is inspired by the landscape, culture, and history, of the land of destiny, Shimane. Lots of people have already enjoyed this experience during their travels through Matsue. You may even be able to hear about some hidden tourist spots from our Osewasan guide as well!
